In 2012 API Services (APIS) was awarded a contract to support a multi-million dollar plant expansion project for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation in Port Hudson, Louisiana. API Services was identified as the project wide lead for all metrology support and precision services. This opportunity required an 11-month commitment for which 24-hour coverage and support was to be readily available. Mark Andrews was offered and accepted the position as the on-site project lead. Mark was an obvious choice for this position based upon his skillset of the following: his understanding of coordinate measurement equipment and software, interpretation of blueprints and drawings, his ability to understand project deadlines and competence in leading a cooperative effort of this magnitude.

As on-site project lead Mark was tasked with many responsibilities, including but not limited to: maintaining the functionality of all equipment, an active role in all engineering and safety meetings, planning and organization of daily and weekly work schedules, supervision of all personnel, meeting project deadlines, preparing inspection and alignment reports, on site metrology training and leadership as well as serving as the primary contact and liaison for all communication between GeorgiaPacific and API Services.

Mark proved to be the correct choice to lead this project; my expectations were met and surpassed. His knowledge, experience and determination were on constant display. As the project lead he was able to understand and develop solutions for project concerns, personnel matters and general metrology applications. His dedication to the project and to API Services was unquestionable. This project was a huge success story for both Georgia-Pacific and API Services. Much of this success can be attributed to the outstanding efforts of Mark Andrews.

With this in mind I would have zero hesitation in recommending Mark Andrews as an asset to any metrology, alignment or inspection related opportunity for which he is being considered.

Mark has provide leadership and technical support for a team of Alignment Specialists whose work included initial equipment layout, QA/QC work on anchor bolts/structures, precision alignment of large machinery and verification and documentation of all types of equipment installations and piping. Mark has demonstrated a very high level of proficiency and technical expertise in these areas of responsibility.
